Wheely Weather is a weather app for cyclists. It has no accounts, no ads, and no tracking. This page explains what little data it handles and where it goes.

Location

If you allow it, the app uses your device's location to show the forecast where you are. You can instead search for a place, and the app works fully without location access.

Your coordinates are sent only to the weather and map services needed to answer that request:

We do not keep a history of your locations or sell location data.

Data stored on your device

Your settings, saved places, last location and a cached forecast are stored only on your device (or in your browser). On iPhone, a summary of the forecast is shared with the Wheely Weather home screen widget through an app group on the same device. Deleting the app removes all of it.

Crash reports and diagnostics

The app sends crash reports and performance timings to Sentry so bugs can be fixed. These reports do not include your name, IP address or device identifiers, and coordinates are removed from them. They are not used for advertising or tracking.

Children

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
